About the Virtual Summit

Welcome to the PRISMS Virtual Summit!

Welcome SMS Community & Friends!

We are committed to organizing and hosting a high-quality virtual experience that is full of content that is both relevant and empowering for all attendees. This event is open to parents, caregivers, educators, and medical professionals – anyone who wants to learn more about Smith-Magenis syndrome and connect with the SMS community!

PRISMS, an acronym for Parents and Researchers Interested in Smith-Magenis Syndrome, is dedicated to providing information and support to families of persons with Smith-Magenis Syndrome (SMS), and fostering partnerships with professionals to increase awareness and understanding of SMS.
The PRISMS Virtual Summit will feature sessions spread across three days, September 9-11, 2021. Many sessions will feature a mix of pre-recorded and live content. Pre-recorded content will be available in advance, so you can watch ahead of time and join us live for Q&A.

This year we anticipate virtual attendees from all over the world will gather to listen and participate in presentations from our expert speakers, discuss concerns and issues, and meet other families, all in a virtual setting. Attendees will learn from educators, researchers, medical professionals, and each other. We hope attendees will gain a better understanding of SMS individuals and what they can do to help them as well as gain knowledge, perspective and hope.
