How can I update my personal or contact/salon details?
  • Post registering into an Education seminar > a confirmation email will be sent to the provided email address > Go onto that confirmation email > Scroll down to “Update Your Information” > Select “Click Here” where it states “to make changes to your registration information” and you will be directed back to the Registration Website (below “click here” will be your Log-in & Registration ID for reference) > Correct or update any according information on the re-directed page & click “Update”.
  • If, for whatever reason, you cannot update this information, send a direct email to [email protected]
 
How do I and when do I make payment?
  • Different to previous years, all 2021 Goldwell / KMS education bookings are required to be made prior to the seminar. For all Academy & Regional Education bookings for either Salons or Stylists, the process is as follows:
» Visit www.KaoSalonAcademy.com
» Scroll down on the homepage and select the seminar of choice.
(Hot Tip: Every Seminar has a LIVE UPDATE on how many seats are remaining, look to your right)
» At the top left of the screen, you will see a box with the number one in it. This is the number of spots in the class you are reserving. You can book up to 5 spots in one transaction.
» Carefully read the information on the page: How many reservations? Seminar Name & Description, What’s in it for you? Level of expertise. What tools to bring? Dates. Format, Investment & Location!
» Fill out the remaining information on the page – Data Privacy Notice (initials) & Registration Policy (tick)
» Click next, and fill out the information on the next page (Personal Information) Click next again.
» Fill out the payment information and click submit. *Only credit card accepted* or add the discount/voucher code into the discount box and click apply. If there is a remaining balance, put the credit card information in. If applicable.
» After you click submit, a Registration confirmation will be sent to both the e-mail provided and the cc e-mail (if provided). This will contain all class information, including dates, times, model requirements, and tool lists.
 
When is cut off for registrations?
  • 24 hours prior to seminar date. As long as the seminar is not SOLD out.
 
Will salons / stylists receive a tax invoice receipt?
  • Yes, salons and stylists will receive a tax invoice for ALL education bookings, for both credit card and discount code payments. The tax invoice receipt will be available in the confirmation email, with a download link in a PDF form.
 
Can I book education seminars in for a location in Australia, if I am not a resident or citizen of Australia?
  • Yes. Our Australian education seminars are available for bookings from both Australian’s & other countries and visitors. For example: if you are based in New Zealand, and plan on travelling on to Melbourne for an education seminar. Please note: Goldwell / KMS are not responsible for any travel bookings, accommodation, expenses or transportation.
 
Can I book education seminars? If I am a non-Goldwell/KMS stockiest, salon or stylist?
  • Yes. We welcome both Goldwell/KMS & non-Goldwell/KMS stockiest, salons and stylists to attend our Goldwell/KMS education.
How can I request a cancellation for an education booking/seminar?
  • In a situation where a need for cancellation is required, the booked participant/salon will need to “raise a ticket” titled “cancellation request” to [email protected]. In this request, please attach the following
  • Full name of participant/s
  • Contact email & number
  • Salon name & account number (if applicable)
  • Detailed description of cancellation request
  • Payment method (discount code/edf if applicable)
  • Any related attachments
 
What is the Kao Salon Academy cancellation policy with education bookings?
  • All cancellations must be received 30 days prior to the date of the seminar to be eligible for a full refund.
  • Any cancellations within 30 days will receive a credit toward a future program in the current calendar year. Non-attendance without notice is subject to 100% charge.
  • Kao Australia reserves the right to postpone or change any seminars due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case participants will be notified.
 
Can I request a name/detail change from one participant to another in a medical or other unforeseen circumstances? That way I don’t loose my money/booking?
  • No name changes or swaps. Participants/salons are able to change their personal detail/s or salon information, however, only for the seminars they have booked in to and they cannot be converted into another participant, please refer to the cancellation policy.
How will my education booking be confirmed and when? Call? SMS?
  • All education bookings will receive an instant confirmation landing page and confirmation email. The confirmations are sent both to the participant and the cc e-mail listed on the registration. It contains the date, time, and location of the class, the model requirements, and the tool list. * If the email address you entered is not that of the stylist attending the program, you must ensure you forward the confirmation letter to them.
 
What are the policies with payments, refunds and credits for both credit card & education fund code payments?
  • Payment options: Credit card and/or discount codes (previously known as education funds)
  • Refunds /credit options: All cancellations must be received 30 days prior to the date of the seminar to be eligible for a full refund. Any cancellations within 30 days will receive a credit toward a future program in the current calendar year. Non-attendance without notice is subject to 100% charge. Kao Australia reserves the right to postpone or change any seminars due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case participants will be notified.
 
How and when will I receive my certificate upon a successful completion of a Goldwell / KMS seminar?
  • Post a Goldwell or KMS education seminar, our salon bookings team will laisse with the educator responsible and ensure a successful completion. Once confirmed, salon bookings will email through the education seminar certificate to either the individual stylist or salon. Please allow up to 2 weeks to receive this certificate post seminar.
 
 
What type of model do I require for different education seminars? If at all? What is the briefing for models?
  • In the past, it has been commonly found that participants source non-suitable hair models to a seminar. To ensure full benefits and knowledge is gained from the education seminar, please ensure the participant is bringing the correct models in conjunction with the seminar. Each seminar model requirements differs, therefore, it is important to read all model requirement/s (if any) prior to booking the seminar & if there is any uncertainty, please contact your Goldwell/kms educator or [email protected].
