Welcome to the Volunteer Registration page for AOPA’s 2018 Fly-In at Santa Fe, NM (KSAF). This promises to be an exciting year as we work together to share the fun of general aviation.

We have lots of great opportunities to choose from. Most of the opportunities are designed around shifts of five hours or less. Please choose options which allow for a serious commitment to each. Plus, there's a free meal, an AOPA Volunteer T-shirt, and cap for your efforts!

Set up volunteer tent and greet incoming volunteers while assisting with volunteer check in using online registration. Provide volunteers with shirts and hats.

These volunteers will assist AOPA staff in creation and placement of event signage.

These volunteers will assist AOPA staff in movement of bins, furniture and other show elements from staging to tent location.

These volunteers will assist AOPA staff in striping the car and aircraft parking areas.

These volunteers will assist in the placement of barricades and cones to define fly-in boundaries and traffic flow.

These volunteers will deliver drinks and snacks to volunteers on showside. Due to the need to drive a cart in a congested area, volunteers for this role should be at least 16 years old.
Wednesday, September 12
Wednesday, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm  RESET  

Volunteers will be assisting with initial setup of signage, fencing, and other materials to provide boundaries and clarity of movement both airside and showside. Please note this is a physical position and will require lifting of fencing, signage, and other materials.

Volunteers will be assisting with AOPA Village logistics including setting up tables/chairs, moving pallets, placing trash cans and other duties as assigned. Please note this is a physical position and may require lifting tables, chairs and boxes.

At the beginning of each shift volunteers will greet incoming volunteers and assist with volunteer check-in using online registration. Provide volunteers with shirts and hats.

The volunteer will assist staff photographer(s) by working with persons photographed to sign a release form so that AOPA may use the photo in future fly-in promotion.

Volunteers will be assisting with Barnstormers Party food service and clean-up. This includes ticket-taking, line direction, trash clean up, moving tables and chairs, and getting the space ready for the AOPA pancake breakfast the next morning. If volunteering for this position AOPA will provide volunteers with a free admission ticket to the Barnstormers Party to enjoy the festivities and food but will require you to stay after the party to help clean up.


Saturday, September 15
Saturday, 5:30 am - 8:30 am 

Volunteers will work alongside AOPA staff to prepare and serve food for the pancake breakfast.
Saturday, 6:00 am - 9:00 am 

Volunteers will assist with receiving and registering show side exhibitors. This will include directing them to their assigned booth, and helping with setup.
