The U.S. Department of Energy's Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) is hosting the 2017 Project Peer Review on March 6-9, 2017, at the Sheraton Denver Downtown, in Colorado. Approximately 192 projects in BETO’s research, development, and demonstration portfolio will be presented to the public and systematically reviewed by more than 40 external subject-matter experts from industry, academia, and federal agencies.

The 2017 Project Peer Review will include six simultaneous review sessions of projects within the nine technology areas highlighted below:

  1. Advanced Algal Systems
  2. Thermochemical Conversion
  3. Biochemical Conversion
  4. Waste to Energy
  5. Co-Optimization of Fuels and Engines
  6. Feedstock-Conversion Interface Consortium
  7. Feedstock Supply and Logistics
  8. Analysis and Sustainability
  9. Demonstration and Market Transformation

Sleeping rooms are available at the group rate of $178 plus taxes (same as government per diem) on the nights of March 5-10, 2017. Reservations must be made by Monday, February 20, 2017. Attendees are encouraged to use transit, especially between the airport and the event venue. RTA rail service is available from the airport to the Union Station in downtown Denver (45 minute estimated travel time). From the Union Station, the 16th Street Mall Ride will stop in front of the Sheraton Denver Downtown (10 minute estimated travel time). Tickets can be purchased at the kiosks located on the train platform at the rate of $9.00 each way.

The Sheraton Denver Downtown is offering limited discounted daily parking on a first-come, first-serve basis of $27.75 per day, for those that are not able to get this discount the daily cost will be $37 per vehicle. An alternate parking option is the Tremont Parking Garage, which is located one block from the Sheraton at 400 15th Street, Denver, CO 80202. As of December 2016, the Tremont Parking Garage has a daily parking rate of $14 per day.
