Abstract Payment & Deadlines

The 2018 Plant Biology Meeting Committee invites abstracts (300 words max) that report new scientific research developments in diverse areas of plant biology. Submitters can view the submission process here before starting their submission. Abstracts are welcome from scientists and students in all sectors, including academia, industry, government, and education.

There is a $50 non-refundable abstract payment required per abstract submission. The abstract payment is step 1 of a 2 step abstract submission process. Once you have submitted payment, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to complete your submission. A separate link to the abstract submission site will be included in the confirmation email.

Abstract submission is separate from Meeting Registration. Please register for the Meeting at the conclusion of your abstract submission. It is important that your abstract payment and meeting registration are under the same name in order for us to verify that you have completed both tasks.

Please take note of the deadlines below. All abstract deadlines are at 9:00 PM EST on the dates listed below.

  • Tuesday, February 20, 2018: Deadline to be considered for a concurrent and lightning talk consideration.

  • Friday, June 1, 2018: Deadline for poster abstract submission to receive a poster number. The primary presenter must be registered for the conference and the abstract must be completed. Poster abstracts will be included in the online program book.

  • Friday, July 6, 2018: Deadline for late onsite poster abstract submissions. Abstracts will be listed in meeting mobile app. On-site posters will not receive a poster number and spots are first come, first served. Primary poster presenters must also be registered for the conference. This will be the last day to submit an abstract.
