SC104. TABT Presents: Magnificent Moments in Teaching Mechanisms of Genetics This workshop will explore a variety of classroom-ready activities designed to give teachers magnificent teaching moments for TEKS B.6A, B.6E, and B.6F related to the mechanisms of genetics. Participants will gain firsthand experiences with models, manipulatives, games, and effective teaching strategies to help students gain a thorough understanding of topics included in Reporting Category 2. Each participant will receive handouts in the session and will be given digital access to these engaging classroom strategies for use in his or her classroom.
