Registration will open  at 12pm ET on February 11, 2022 for non-members.

Registration will take place online only. If you need assistance or have multiple attendees from your organization to register, please contact the AHS office.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Meeting registration includes all educational sessions (except where noted), the exhibit hall, continental breakfast and refreshment breaks each day, as well as several evening receptions during the event.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
The American Headache Society® (AHS) is actively monitoring the health and safety guidance from the Centers for Disease Control as well as state and local health departments. AHS requires attendees to abide by any applicable rules of conduct or local or state laws that may be announced at any time before or during the event, which may include wearing personal protective gear, engaging in social distancing, agreeing to temperature checks or COVID-19 testing requirements, or providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination status.  More information on the health and safety plan for this event will be published closer to the start of the event.

All registrants will have to attest to being fully vaccinated (including recommended booster shots) at least two weeks prior to arriving for the event. Additionally, you may have to produce proof of vaccination when you arrive at the meeting.

FORMS OF PAYMENT

Checks are acceptable when registration is submitted by mail or completed onsite at the 64th Annual Scientific meeting. Checks must be made payable (in US dollars) to the American Headache Society and issued by a US correspondent bank. The registrant is responsible for all bank charges. Mail to:

Credit Cards are the preferred method of payment. AHS accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. AHS reserves the right to charge the correct amount, if different from your calculated total. Charges will appear on your statement as "AHS Registration."

Wire Transfers are accepted provided that the NET AMOUNT of the wire (after bank fees) is sufficient to cover all registration fees in US dollars. Please contact AHS Registration (856-423-0043 or [email protected]) for additional information on wire transfer payments.

Cash and Travelers Checks (US dollars only) are accepted for onsite registration at the Annual Meeting. Please do not send cash or traveler's checks through the mail.

Group Discounts
AHS encourages you and your colleagues to take advantage of the discounted fees available when two or more employees from an organization (same location) register for the meeting. Registration for group discounts must be submitted together. A discount of $25.00 per attendee (after the first attendee pays full price) will be applied. Please contact AHS Registration (856-423-0043 or [email protected]) to get a discount code for groups.

Letters of Invitation
If requested, the AHS will send a personal invitation for participation at the 64th Annual Scientific Meeting. This invitation is only meant to assist participants in raising travel funds and obtaining a VISA. This is not a commitment on the part of the AHS to provide any financial support.

Cancellation Policy
Requests must be submitted via email no later than Thursday, May 26, 2022. Once the cancellation is processed, all fees paid will be refunded. If paid by credit card, please allow up to five business days for the credit to show in your bank account. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS AFTER THE MAY 26th  DEADLINE.

Moving From In-Person Experience To Virtual Experience
Attendees wishing to move from the In-Person to Virtual Experience due to health, inability, or discomfort with traveling may change their registration at any point with no penalty. Please email the AHS office ([email protected]) to request the change.

Abstracts

All users will have to create a new account the first time submitting a 2022 Abstract.

Submissions will close on Thursday, February 17, 11:59 pm Hawaii Standard Time (4:59 am on 2/18 Eastern/1:59 am on 2/18 Pacific)

Authors will receive acknowledgment of receipt of abstracts via email and notification regarding acceptance on or before March 25, 2022.

Each abstract must include objectives, methods, results, and conclusions and is limited to 3300 characters (characters include letters, symbols, punctuation, and spaces). Abstracts can include figures/tables. Mandatory fields in the submission site have an asterisk (*).

If your data has been presented in total/or large part in the past, please indicate the date and place of the previous presentation(s).

“Frontiers in Headache Research” Scholarship Awards

The American Headache Society announces the availability of “Frontiers in Headache Research” Scholarship Awards for the 64th Annual Scientific Meeting scheduled for June 9-12, 2022, in Aurora, CO.

Recipients will receive complimentary meeting registration and a one-year AHS Trainee membership if not already a member of AHS, or a one-year extension of their existing AHS Trainee membership and be eligible to receive a stipend up to $1,000 to cover travel expenses.

Criteria for selection are based on:

  • The quality of the research proposal/project
  • The potential for the proposal, study or thesis to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and future research in the field of Headache Medicine

Applicant must:

  • Be a Headache Medicine Fellow, Resident and or post-doctoral fellow who is in preparatory, active or completion phase of a basic or clinical research project that is related to headache or cranial nociception
  • Not have won an AHS scholarship within the past 2 years. Past winners within 2 years are not eligible to apply
  • Reside in the United States or Canada

Recipient requirements:

  • The top three selected will be required to present their proposal or results to attendees at the 64th Annual Scientific Meeting
  • All other recipients will be required to submit a poster for display at the 64thAnnual Scientific Meeting

Runnin’ for Research Advocacy Award

The American Headache Society will award up to two Runnin’ for Research Advocacy Awards to attend either the 64th Annual Scientific Meeting, June 9-12, 2022 in Aurora, CO at the Gaylord Rockies Resort, or the 2022 Scottsdale Headache Symposium, November 17-20, 2022 at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, AZ.

Recipients will receive complimentary registration for the meeting of their choice and are eligible to receive a stipend up to $2,000 for reimbursement of expenses for hotel, travel, and meals not provided during the meeting. Recipients will also receive a one-year AHS Trainee membership if not already a member of AHS, or a one-year extension of their existing AHS Trainee membership.

Criteria for selection:

  • Any neurology resident may apply with preference given to applicants from cities involved in Miles for Migraine events.
