The meeting’s main themes are: 1) Discuss novel roles for S1P, LPA, and other lysophospholipids in development, homeostasis, and disease; 2) Define common links in lysophospholipid biology that can foster collaboration and enable the translation of current research into clinical practice and public health benefit; 3) Identify disease biomarkers that reflect upon the fitness of lysophospholipid signaling and discuss novel therapeutic approaches and clinical trial results.
Conference sessions will present the latest research and foster discussion on:
Sphingosine kinases, S1P phosphatases and S1P lyase, S1PRs and S1P signaling
Novel aspects of Autotaxin and LPA signaling
Lysophospholipids in cancer biology and cardiovascular disease
Lysophospholipids in immunology and inflammation
Lysophospholipids in neurobiology
Lysophospholipids in drug discovery, diagnostics, and clinical trials
Novel bioactive lysophospholipids (e.g. lysophosphatidylserine, lysophosphatidylinositol, lysophosphatidylcholine) and emerging technologies
The conference features nine oral sessions with four poster sessions, “Meet the Expert” sessions, and career development workshops. A “Career Path and Development” session will include a section dedicated to women in science. We are delighted to have Timothy Hla, PhD(Harvard Medical School) and Wouter Moolenaar, PhD (The NKI-Netherlands) present the opening keynote lectures.
