Program

This virtual meeting’s main themes are: 1) Latest findings in the field of protein aggregation, including functional and pathological amyloids and other protein assemblies, and phase separation into biomolecular condensates; 2) Mechanisms of disease; 3) Therapeutic design and clinical strategies.

Conference sessions will present the latest research and foster discussion on:
  • Structure and assembly mechanisms of protein aggregates
  • Systemic amyloidosis and prions
  • Protein phase separation
  • Biophysical processes underpinning aggregation
  • Neurodegeneration pathomechanisms
  • New technologies in the field
  • Therapeutic strategies
  • Proteostasis
  • Proteotoxicity
  • Functional aggregates
  • Clinical strategies
The conference covers 12 sessions with 25 selected abstract presentations, a series of “Meet the Expert” sessions held informally over lunch, and career development workshops. We are delighted to have Don Cleveland, PhD (University of California, San Diego) present the keynote lecture and Anne Bertolotti, PhD, (MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology) will present the EMBO Lecture during the conference.
