Steamboat Springs is located in northwest Colorado in the Rocky Mountains and is surrounded by forest and wilderness areas. The Steamboat Grand Resort is situated at the base of the ski area at a comfortable elevation of 6900 feet above sea level. Visitors to Steamboat Springs may need some extra time to acclimate to the higher altitude. Be sure to drink plenty of water, use sunscreen, and start off with lighter activities and gradually build up to more strenuous activities. The downtown area has art galleries, western outfitters, outdoor retailers and gift shops.
 

Accommodations

The conference registration fee does not include hotel reservations. SRC participants reserve and pay for their own lodging reservations at the conference host hotel. FASEB makes every effort to keep participant expenses at the meeting as low as possible. We encourage all participants to reserve a room within the official hotel room block to help to support not only the conference but also future meetings.

Room rates are subject to a 7% taxable resort fee, and all applicable state and local taxes, fees and assessments (currently 11.4). Full deposit amounts will be posted and charged by the hotel to attendee folios seven days prior to arrival.

All charges will be billed at the time of check-out. Reservations must be guaranteed by a major credit card. Participants may cancel up to 48 hours prior to arrival with a loss of a $25 deposit. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.

Airport Information

The Steamboat Grand is 26 miles from the Steamboat-Yampa Valley Regional/Hayden Airport (HDN) and 178 miles northwest of Denver International Airport (DEN). Please note, Hayden Airport is a regional airport and only offers limited flights during the summer months.
 

Shuttle Services

GO Alpine of Steamboat Springs provides shuttle service to and from Denver International Airport and the Yampa Valley Regional/Hayden airports. GO Alpine requests that flights land at a minimum 45 minutes prior to shuttle departure time for domestic flights and one hour prior to shuttle departure time for international flights. For return service, they suggest allowing 90 minutes for check-in and security. There are a limited number of shuttle departure times for Denver due to the distance. Rental Cars

It is a scenic 3.5 hour drive through the majestic Rocky Mountains from Denver Airport or a quick 30 minutes from Hayden Airport. Click on the airport links provided above for available car rental companies.

Parking

Self-parking is available in two different lots for guests. The lot across from the main entrance is $10 per night per vehicle, and the underground garage is $15 per vehicle per night.

Attendees are encouraged to contact FASEB with any special needs they may have or contact the hotel directly to address any concerns prior to registering for the conference. FASEB will make every effort to accommodate persons with special needs.

Steamboat Grand Hotel Protocols
For COVID related information for the Steamboat Grand, please access this hotel link. 

• The hotel is not currently providing housekeeping services during a guest’s stay. Items such as additional towels or soap may be called for delivery to the guest’s room. 
• The Grand Spa has temporarily suspended services until further notice and a reopen date is undetermined at this time. 
• A mask is required to ride the hotel shuttle into/back from town. 
• If you test positive for COVID while staying at the hotel or are experiencing symptoms, you and those in your party, are required to follow quarantine/isolation orders for the mandated period of time as directed by the Routt County Health Department.
