HFA'S 2020 SYMPOSIUM - SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY 

HFA GENERAL HOTEL SCHOLARSHIP

  • This scholarship is for one (1) hotel room, for up to three (3) nights. Any additional nights or rooms will be on your own.
  • Must live at least 45 minutes or more away from the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor.
  • First-time attendees receive priority. Previous attendees will be considered dependent upon space and availability.
  • A maximum of 4 individuals per scholarship (One hotel room per family).
  • This scholarship DOES NOT cover the registration fee(s). 

HFA INHIBITOR TRACK SCHOLARSHIP

  • Scholarships are limited to funding availability.
  • Only for parents and families attending the Thursday Inhibitor Track. To be eligible, you must meet at least one of the criteria listed here:
    • Currently have a Measurable Titer and/or Shortened Half Life.
    • Receive Daily Infustion (ITT or Bypassing Agents).
    • Experience Frequent Bleeding (more than one bleed every 1-2 months).
    • Have Tried ITT (continuously or multiple times). 
    • Have an Inhibitor that impacts daily quality of life (chronic pain, excessive missed school/work, excessive clinic/hospital/ER visits).
    • Have used other methods to manage/reduce bleeding or to lower inhibitor titer (bi-specific anitbody therapy, immune suppression theraphy, etc.). 
  • This scholarship is for one (1) hotel room, for up to four (4) nights. Any additional nights or rooms will be on your own.
  • Must live at least 45 minutes or more away from the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor.
  • A maximum of 4 individuals per scholarship (One hotel room per family).
  • This scholarship DOES NOT cover the registration fee(s). 

HOTEL SCHOLARSHIP: MEMBER OF HEMOPHILIA FOUNDATION OF MARYLAND

  • Must be a current member of Hemophilia Foundation of Maryland (HFM). Application is subject to approval from HFM.
