The SYTA Youth Foundation Running for Youth Run Team uses long distance running/walking as a symbol of endurance and hope. The goal is simple - to raise money for students & youth to travel with their schools or youth organizations. Participants on the Run Team fundraise on behalf of the SYTA Youth Foundation, train and participate in race distances throughout the year. Since the program's inception in 2009, the team has collectively raised over $350,000.

Fundraising Packages:

In order for the Running For Youth program to have charity status, runDisney requires that race participants raise a minimum of $1500 to participate.

To join the team, there is a nonrefundable $200 Runner Fee that is processed at registration.

Disney Fall Feast 5K: 3.1 Miles 

  • Race registration

  • RFY Team Shirt and fundraising materials
  • Airline transportation (economy ticket maximum value of $600.00). Ticket may only be purchased through SYF.  Runners will not receive a credit against their fundraising goal for tickets purchased on own.

Disney Wine & Dine 10K: 6.2 Miles
  • Race registration
  • runDisney Health & Fitness Expo, Saturday Team Dinner, Post Race Party at Epcot
  • RFY Team Shirt and fundraising materials

Group Run Team Packages
Runners are encouraged to form teams of coworkers, friends, families…
Run Teams may select either the 5K, 10K or Half Marathon
Runners selecting to participate in the Two Course Challenge (10K and Half Marathon) must raise an additional $400 per runner. Airline Tickets will only be provided for runners fundraising a minimum of $1,500.

Terms & Conditions

  • Runners must express interest by May 1, 2020 to confirm their spot on the team.
  • Runners may reserve their spot on the team when they register and pay a $200.00 team fee. Once the runner registers, they will receive a welcome email with information on how to get started.
  • The $200 team fee is nonrefundable unless you meet your fundraising goal. Runners who are unable to participate and notify RFY staff by May 1, 2020 will have this recognized as a donation to the SYTA Youth Foundation.
  • Runners who cancel after May 1 will be charged the balance owed from their fundraising page towards their minimum of $1500.00.
  • Runners who reach their fundraising goal by November 1 can choose to have the $200.00 donated to SYF, added to their fundraising goal or refunded to their credit card once the goal is met.


How does the fundraising minimum work?
There is a minimum for all fundraising packages except the Cheer Team package.  For packages with a fundraising minimum, as a runner, you'll commit to raising that minimum for the package you selected.  In exchange, you receive one of RFY’s entries into the race distance you selected, and we will provide you with support during the months and weeks leading up to the Wine and Dine.

Already Purchased Race Entry
Did you already purchase your own race entry? You can still join our team.
Choose the "I have already registered with runDisney" option when registering, and then select your race and fundraising option.  Your race entry will be credited after the race to your fundraising package.

Disney Park Tickets
Runners can purchase park passes directly through the runDisney website. RFY packages do not include Disney park passes.
 
Post Party Event at Epcot/International Food and Wine Festival Tickets
Runners who meet their fundraising goal will receive a ticket to the Post Party event at Epcot.  Additional tickets may be purchased through the Disney website.
