ABOUT THIS SESSION
Using data to drive clinical quality is vitally important but it can be new and uncomfortable for some teams. In this workshop we will review case studies from other teams across the country to overcome concerns about using data to move towards thriving in Value of Care equation funding environments that are quickly becoming the new normal throughout the country. This will be an interactive presentation with questions and answers throughout. We will review the importance of data to the industry, common data capture/reporting mistakes, data 101 collection tips, advanced examples from other states, and finish with a guided breakout session to fill out a simple costing calculator to recap the themes from the presentation.
Learning Objectives - Participants will be able to:
- Describe how to start or improve data collection
- Explain how data can be used to improve quality of care
- Identify at least one method for using data to communicate more effectively with funders
