Welcome to the 16th Annual Alaska Media Road Show!

Mark your calendar for the 16th annual Alaska Media Road Show Oct. 28-30, 2018, in Las Vegas for your chance to make lasting media contacts and increase editorial coverage of your product or destination. 
The Alaska Travel Industry Association is providing: We are pleased to again be hosting this annual event at The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa in Nevada. We are confident you will find this venue to be a perfect setting in which to interact with some of the most influential travel media in the United States.
When you register online, you will submit a short company profile, which will be available to Alaska Media Road Show participants. The information that you submit will be used to create a directory to assist the participants in identifying you with whom there may be common interest.

The Alaska Media Road Show will again be hosted at The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa in Nevada.

Note to partners: to access special pricing for overnight accommodations, please book your hotel stay here. Please be sure to book your accommodations by Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018. If you are a member of the media, Alaska Travel Industry Association will be booking your accommodations on your behalf.

Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018 Partner cancellation deadline
Cancellations received in writing on or before Aug. 30 will receive a refund less a 20% administration fee. Any partner who fails to cancel in writing by Aug. 30 is responsible for the full registration fee.

Important Information for Partners

What to Bring

The Alaska Travel Industry Association will supply a table sign with your show listing and table number. Banners, freestanding pop-up displays or posters are not allowed. Laptop PCs, hard copy media kits, pictures and brochures that will fit on your table (approx. 6 feet) are permitted. Quantities should be decided based on the number of appointments.

Electrical Connections

The Alaska Travel Industry Association will supply you with an extension cord (which you may be asked to share with another partner). Partners are recommended to have an extra laptop battery or charge for their laptops during the break sessions (note that there is limited availability of electrical outlets onsite).

Shipping Information

Partners are responsible for any shipping costs to and from The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa. Quantities of media materials should be decided based on the number of appointments. In an effort to level the playing field for members large and small gifts are not allowed to be given out to journalists and should not be sent to the hotel. Based on feedback from media at previous Alaska Media Road Shows, it is recommended that you offer press materials in a variety of formats (paper/hard copies as well as in digital form on a flash drive or disk).
Partners should clearly indicate their registered name and table number, which will be shown in the floor plan, on ALL boxes. Please remember to bring a copy of your tracking number with you.

  1. Put on label "Hold for Alaska Media Road Show" and indicate number of boxes (see above).
  2. Boxes are not to arrive before Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, but MUST ARRIVE by Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018.
  3. Track your shipment and to bring the tracking number with you in case you need to trace your shipment.
  4. Boxes need to weigh less than 16 pounds.

Return Shipping

Partners can leave any materials needing return shipment with the hotel concierge for a fee. See more details here.
