Activities


Activities will be held on Friday and Saturday afternoon from 2:00 - 5:00 PM.

Please note some activities have minimum participation numbers in order to hold the activity. Based on registration, we reserve the right to adjust activities as appropriate. We will notify you if there is a change to your registered activity.

Warsaw in a Nutshell

During this panoramic tour, you will discover all the different sides of the modern-day Warsaw. First, you will experience the historical side, and then the tour will showcase the energetic, newer parts of the city with many parks and recreational areas. The experience will include a walking tour passing by the Castle Square, King Sigismund's Column, St. John's Cathedral, the Old Town Market Square, and the Barbican. The tour will also highlight the historical monuments along the Royal Route, the Presidential Palace, and the Opera House. Next, the tour of contemporary Warsaw will include the finest buildings: the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, the Warsaw University Library with a beautiful garden on the roof, as well as the National Stadium. The tour ends on the other side of the Vistula River at the trendy Praga district with numerous cafes, galleries, and beaches where we'll stop for a drink.

Communist Tour

Get ready for a unique and one-of-a-kind trip through the legacy of Polish socialism! First, you will  be picked up from the hotel in the historical, socialist-style van, a Nysa 522. The experience starts at the first square built for the working people, Constitution Square (Plac Konstytucji), where you will begin to understand how propaganda controlled the socialist era. The next stop is the seat of the Ministry of Agriculture, where you will have a chance to learn about the reconstruction plans for a post-war utopian city. Our next visit will be the Palace of Culture and Science - a gift from “Uncle” Stalin where you will discover a few secrets. At the very heart of socialism is the old seat of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers' Party (in Polish: “Dom Partii” – “The Party's House”), which is the next stop on this exclusive tour. You will then visit the Praga district, where you will see a typical housing estate and the oldest building in Warsaw. At the end, we will visit the Museum of Life under Communism where you can experience a small apartment furnished in socialist style, a communist party member’s office, a shop, a bar, and a street from the era. You will see how people used to live and watch propaganda movies of the 1950s while you sip a typical aperitif.


WII History Tour

As the capital of Poland since 1595, Warsaw is a symbol of the turbulent and prodigious history of the country. The Old Town Area - the oldest quarter of Warsaw – was totally destroyed during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, and after the end of the Second World War, it was perfectly reconstructed. The highlights of this historical tour include Umschlagplatz - a martyrological site to commemorate the Jewish people, The Monument to the Heroes of the Ghetto, fragments of the Ghetto Wall at Sienna Street, POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews (from the outside), The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the Memorial to the Heroes of Warsaw Rising. You will also have a chance to visit the Warsaw Rising Museum – a great opportunity to fully understand the great tragedy of the war.

Vistula River Walking Tour

Take in the city, while getting some exercise on this customized, panoramic, energetic walk through the Warsaw parks along the Vistula River. We will stop for stretching exercises, as well as scenic viewpoints to admire both banks of the river. The first part of the tour will include the Copernicus Science Centre with its Discovery Park, including open-air experimentation stations, an outdoor art gallery, and an amphitheater. The next stop is the garden roof of the Warsaw University Library which offers a fantastic view of the city and Vistula river. Then, you will cross the Swietokrzyski Bridge, also known as “the film bridge” as it is a popular setting for Polish romantic movies. We will pass the National Stadium in Saska Kepa, a district that is full of trendy bars, cafes, restaurants and a mix of boutique and old-school shops. At the very end, we will finish the long walk and give your feet a break with a refreshing drink at one of the local beach bars.

Shopping Tour

Get acquainted with Polish design and handcraft items on this shopping tour – a great option for picking up items to bring back home! The tour will start at Mokotowska Street - one of the most beautiful streets in Warsaw that was able to preserve its old character by surviving the war. The richly decorated tenement houses along this street have been renovated into expensive boutiques for Polish fashion designers, like Ania Kulczynska and Robert Kupisz. We will also stop at the famous Vitkac department store, the most high-end shop in Poland. Then we will continue along Nowy Swiat and Chmielna - a pedestrian-friendly street with many small shops for souvenirs, jewelry, and  figurines. Along the way, you will also visit local food and chocolate shops.

Bike Tour

See Poland's capital from a true local's perspective - a bike! The trip will start at Grzybowski Square, a place full of great contrast and history. The tour will follow the famous Royal Route, through the Old Town, and towards the Vistula river to get a panoramic view of the Old and New Town from the banks of the river. From there, the tour will take you to the Powiśle area, a famous up-and-coming and modern part of the city. Here you will see the Warsaw University library rooftop gardens, the Copernicus Science Centre, and great views of the river, National Stadium, and the modern neighborhood. Next, you will return from Powiśle on the Royal Route, passing Chopin's Museum on the way to Nowy Świat street. The tour will then pass through the Gaulle Roundabout to get to Three Crosses Square and the Polish Parliament building. Take in the famous Chopin Monument in Łazienki Park before the bike tour ends at the Belvedere Palace.

Tastes of Warsaw

Ready to experience the local tastes of Warsaw? This customized tour starts with a visit to Warsaw’s trendy food and shopping court - Koszyki - a newly revitalized venue offering several restaurants, bars, and shops. Koszyki is the social melting pot of the city where you can try the local delicacies - like sausages and craft beer - amongst the energizing atmosphere of the market. The next stop on the tour will be the historical, 120-year-old Wedel chocolate lounge. Here you will taste the famous Ptasie Mleczko (chocolate covered marshmallow), torcik (a large, circular, chocolate-covered wafer with handmade decorations), as well as candies and pralines. We will finish the tour with a private tasting at the Vodka Museum which shows the history of vodka production in Poland.
