Each year thousands of science teachers across the state of Texas come together to learn and advance science teaching at the Science Teachers Association of Texas' (STAT) premiere event: the Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching (CAST). Just as the sun's gravity keeps the Earth in perfect orbit, our conference keeps the future of science teaching revolving around the success of our students.
Ready to blast off on a mission to explore science teaching in a whole new way? Well then, Houston, We Have a Solution! STAT's 60th Anniversary will take place at CAST 2017 in Houston, Texas November 9-11, 2017. Join us as we celebrate 60 Years of Education and Exploration of science teaching and beyond.

The great success and evolution of CAST year after year can be attributed to the STAT Board, Staff, and above all our fellow science teachers who attend CAST to make an impact in the lives of Texas students. Please help us by volunteering through your online conference registration. Volunteers receive a special CAST T-shirt and have short two- to three-hour shifts.
