ABOUT THIS SESSION
Session Description: Healthcare reform and shifts to value-based reimbursement models are challenging Community Behavioral Health Centers and its leaders to implement transformational changes. This workshop will offer key leadership strategies to support this transformation such as change management versus CQI-based transformational change; establishing performance, behavior, aptitude and attitude-based performance standards for staff; recommended time management and priority setting methodologies; and the use of rapid cycle change techniques.
Included will be case studies of successful transformational models that support the need for leaders to step across a “threshold of risk” to make bold and risk-based decisions that support the long-term survival of their respective centers.
Learning Objectives - Participants will be able to:
1. Describe solution focused decision-making using a Rapid Cycle Change Management model
2. Explain the value of performance, behaviors, aptitude and attitude qualities
3. Identify at least one time management and priority setting skill to support work balance
