Purpose/Goal: 

The gift of tissue and cornea donation is essential for the enhancement of millions of lives. With over 40,000 corneal transplants and 1 million tissue transplants performed each year in the U.S., it is crucial to ensure compliance with recovery and tissue banking regulations as well as understanding advances and new needs developing in the field. During this webinar, the speakers will give insight into the current recovery process, tissue banking protocols and discuss current as well as new uses for tissues and corneas.

Members of the donation and transplantation community serving diverse populations to include administrators, coordinators, physicians, nurses, surgeons, managers, quality improvement specialists, social workers, and other donation and transplantation center professionals and their colleagues.
