Dear Colleagues and Friends,
We are excited to announce the 26th Western Photosynthesis Conference, to be held in Northern California from January 5th to 8th, 2017. We are also pleased to have a dedicated URL address for the Western Photosynthesis Conference:
www.westphotosynthesis.org
After a successful 25th Conference at Devil’s Thumb Resort high in Colorado last year, the WPC/2017 will return to coastal California at the Marconi Conference Center on the Tomales Bay north of San Francisco. We are excited about the new venue, as it should be both more convenient and affordable, and also provide new opportunities for exploration and outdoor activities, such as sea kayaking, horseback riding, and whale watching in our free time.
The organizing committee has selected the following major program themes at WPC/2017:
I. Plastid Biogenesis of the Photosynthetic Machinery
II. Structure/function Relations in Photosynthesis
III. Dynamics of Photosynthetic Apparatus
IV. Applied/Artificial Photosynthesis and Bioenergy
V. Environmental Influences on Photosynthesis
VI. Evolution of Photosynthesis
We are also excited to announce the following speakers have agreed to give talks this year.
To help us make WPC/2017 a success and rewarding for all, we kindly ask you to spread this information and flyer to your colleagues. The cost of this conference will be all-inclusive with a sliding fee structure for students, post-docs, and faculty. Please follow the link to the registration page using the URL address above.
