Sayed Ahmed  C Ped CM Au
 
The Bangladeshi bred Australian Pedorthist (CPed CM Au) is currently undertaking PhD study (part time) at the School of Health & Human Science, Southern Cross University, NSW, Australia. His research focus is to recommend an international consensus based best practice clinical guidelines for foot assessment and prescribing, manufacturing, dispensing most appropriate footwear, orthoses and offloading devices for the prevention of primary and secondary foot ulcers in diabetic population.  Sayed has achieved diversified professional experiences over the last 10 years in fashion, comfort and orthopaedic footwear product development, manufacturing, distribution and retailing.  He has worked at various senior management roles at Bata shoe Company Ltd., Comfort and Fit (Asia Pacific) Pty Ltd. and Foot Balance Technology Pty Ltd. as to name few of the companies he has been with.  He is also a board member and state representative of NSW & ACT for the Pedorthic Association of Australia (PAA) since 2015.


Alan Darby, PA, C Ped

Alan W. Darby, PA, C.Ped, Mr. Darby served in the U.S. Navy for six years. After fulfilling his service obligations, he continued his studies at St. Mary’s College, University of Missouri, and New York University Medical Center’s Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, Pedorthic Program. Mr. Darby is currently an independent consultant – business development executive for Cordant Health Solutions, a company committed to combating today’s prescription drug abuse epidemic. Mr. Darby is a Past President of the Pedorthic Footwear Association, past Chairman of COPE, and past Chairman of Association Services Corporation. Some of Mr. Darby’s professional experience includes; President Darby Enterprise Group, LLC, former President of Wrymark, Inc., former Vice President of Technology for Vici Footwear. Mr. Darby served as adjunct Faculty Member to Northwestern University Medical School, teaching multi-disciplinary programs for Physician, Prosthetic, Orthotic, Physical Therapy, and Pedorthic programs for 23 years. Mr. Darby has served as faculty to programs for AOFAS, APMA, ACFAS, APTA, NATA, NOTA. He has served as chairman and/or faculty member for multiple PFA national and regional educational programs, conferences, and symposiums.


Tamara Daulton C Ped L Ped

Has been employed by Bioworks for 19 years working in close relationship with numerous Orthopedic doctors.  She has served on PFA Board for 8 Years as either a Board member or volunteer.  She serves on the Publications Committee as well as the COPE Committee.  She currently serves on the State of Ohio Orthotic, Prosthetic, Pedorthic Board for her second term re-elected by the governor of the State of Ohio to serve as Secretary for the board.
 

Louis DeCaro DPM

Louis J. DeCaro. DPM is a Podiatric Physician who specializes in pediatrics with a special interest in sports medicine and biomechanics for both adults and pediatrics.  Dr. DeCaro is President and fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Pediatrics (ACFAP). Dr. DeCaro is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry. He also shares a patent on foot types.
Dr. DeCaro is an international lecturer on the topics of podopediatrics and biomechanics.
 

Matt Gooch C Ped
 
Research and Education Manager for Superfeet Worldwide, Inc.  In this capacity he is responsible for all internal research and scientific development of Superfeet products as well as the management of Superfeet's Global Education Program.  A Certified Pedorthist since 2009, Mr. Gooch regularly lectures to retailers, clinicians, and consumers abut topics ranging from lower limb biomechanics to the use and effectiveness of orthoses.  He received a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Exercise Science from Furman University in 2005 and a Master's Degree in Health and Human Performance in 2009 from Middle Tennessee State University.


Alan Grossman DPM

Dr. Allan Grossman completed his residency at Cambridge Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and a fellowship in orthopedic trauma.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics.  Dr. Grossman is a member of the teaching faculty at the Pinnacle Health Department of Medicine and Family Practice; Associate Professor at the Drexel/Hahnemann Medical School; and, Adjunct Faculty Cambridge Hospital/Harvard Medical School.  Dr. Grossman has been published in numerous medical journals and lectures nationally.  Dr. Grossman is also in private practice at the Harrisburg Foot and Ankle Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.


Pam Haig  C Ped BOCPD

40 years of clinical and manufacturing pedorthic experience.  She is past co-owner of OSI Labs Inc., Indianapolis  where she developed a work-flow analysis creating a one week production time for feet orthoses and past co-owner of Southwest Labs, Houston, Texas.  Ms. Haig has served on the Oklahoma State University Health and Environmental Technology Advisory Board since 1996 and was voted Chairman of the Board for the year 2004. She was founding and past Treasurer for The International Alliance For Pedorthic Education And Advancement (The Alliance).  She has lectured as an adjunct faculty member of Ball State University, Anderson University, at the 2005 PFA National Symposium and internationally on Advanced Posting Techniques For Complex Foot And Ankle Deformities.  She is the visionary founder of The Robert M. Palmer, M.D., Institute Of Biomechanics, Inc., a not-for-profit pedorthic biomechanics school and leads an international pediatric campaign with an emphasis on pediatric education and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries, obesity and juvenile diabetes. She also served as the Co-Principal of the Asian Pedorthic School offered at the Sun-yen Sat University and the Asian Pedorthic School Manufacturing Lab in Canton, China. She returned to Beijing in 2010 at the Grand Opening of the Rehabiliation Hospital; promoting pedorthic education and in 2013 to coordinate pedorthic education in Asia with the approval of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. She enjoys lecturing at the IU School of Medicine, residency training department. 
 

Lynn Homisak PRT


Lynn Homisak, PRT is principal owner, consultant and coach of SOS Healthcare Management Solutions, LLC, a staff-focused consulting company that studies, develops and facilitates "success" strategies for Podiatrists and their staff all across the nation. By linking established management approaches and time-tested turnkey concepts to the critical integration of well-trained staff, SOS can help improve practice productivity and efficiency resulting in a more successful and profitable work environment for all. In this regard, SOS translates into "Secrets of Success."  Lynn is an 2010 inductee into the Podiatry Hall of Fame.


Louis Iannuzzi PT C Ped DPT

Dr. Louis N. Iannuzzi received his BS in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee in 1978, followed by his BS/Certificate in Physical Therapy from New York University in 1980, and his DPT from Boston University in 2011. Among his many professional accomplishments, Dr. Iannuzzi spent 20 years as the Chief Physical Therapist of the NY Regional Ambulatory Hansen's Disease Program; served as an Adjunct Professor for both New York University and the College of Staten Island; and, acted as a Clinical Consultant for Staten Island University Hospital's Diabetes Treatment Center. Currently, Dr. Iannuzzi serves as the Clinical Wound Specialist at Bellevue Hospital Center's Department of Dermatology, and most recently at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Diabetic Foot & Ankle Center. Dr. Iannuzzi also spent 25 years as a highly decorated Commissioned Officer with the United States Public Health Service (USPHS), retiring in early 2006 with the rank of Captain following an extended deployment during the 2005 Hurricane Katrina and Rita disaster relief missions in Louisiana and Mississippi. Other USPHS projects in which Dr. Iannuzzi participated include World Trade Center Relief, NY Habitat for Humanity, and the Sierra Leone Amputee Project. In addition, Dr. Iannuzzi is a Corps Specialist in Insensitive Limb Management related to Leprosy and Diabetes, as well as a board certified pedorthist since 1990. His research interests include wound care, pathomechanics, electromyography, and electrotherapy. In collaboration with Dr. Smita Rao and Dr. Miguel Sanchez, Dr. Iannuzzi is currently assessing the efficacy of rocker sole shoes in individuals with venous ulcers through a research grant awarded by the New York Physical Therapy Association.


Dane LaFontsee C Ped

Mr. Lafontsee is well known to the pedorthic community and beyond.  He ran a successful pedorthic practice while serving on the Board of Directors of the PFA and also acting as its President.  He has been a faculty member and educator for numerous universities and was a pedorthic service provider at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.  Mr. Lafontsee has had papers published, countless appointments, lectured internationally on pedorthics and is a frequent contributor to the PFA’s symposium and Exhibition.  Mr. LaFontsee was the recipient of the Seymour Lefton Award for lifetime achievement in Pedorthics.

 
Paul Langer DPM


Paul Langer is a board certified podiatrist in practice with Twin Cities Orthopedics in Minneapolis, MN.  He is an adjunct clinical faculty member at the University of Minnesota Medical School and a past president of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. He has authored Great Feet for Life; Footcare & Footwear for Healthy Aging, served as an editor of two sports medicine texts and published five peer reviewed articles.  He has presented more than forty academic lectures on topics ranging from lower extremity health to footwear and sports medicine.
 

Jim Lawson

Jim is the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC) Outreach Development Manager and, in that role, he devotes his time to working with business owners, helping them navigate the accreditation process and improve their businesses.  He also works with university students prior to their ABC certification exams.  Jim represents and speaks at national, regional and state O & P conferences as well as universities, colleges and O & P education programs nationwide.


Jeremy Long BOCPD

Jeremy Long is a BOC Pedorthist, who has been in the footwear field since 1988, covering multiple settings and disciplines.  He gained his pedorthic credential in 2005 after having spent years working both in Reebok's Technical Services Division and performing specialty fitting work in the skate/snow sports fields.  He has been working in podiatric and O&P facilities for the past 15 years, specializing in a broad spectrum of pedorthic care.  Jeremy presently is on the Pedorthic Footcare Association Board of Directors, and is Chair of its Council on Pedorthic Education.  He also practices clinical pedorthics with Orthotic Holdings, Inc., serving podiatric practices in the Mid-Atlantic region.
 

Stephen MacDonald C Ped

Stephen A. McDonald is Board Certified Pedorthist (C. Ped) working in the ski industry and is the author of The Book on Ski Boots. Recognized an expert in the field of ski boot fitting, Stephen regularly skis more than 100+ days per year.  He has been featured in numerous publications and was on Powder Magazine's Ski Test Team as a tester.  Working with elite high end ski athletes has given him a unique perspective on the ski business as it pertains to the complex problems skiers encounter with their boots.
 

Dean Mason LO

Dean Mason is the owner of North Shore Pedorthics in Lorain, OH.  He is Treasurer of the Pedorthic Footcare Association, chairs its Government Affairs Committee, and is a frequent contributor to Current Pedorthics magazine.  Dean was certified in 1998 and became cross credentialed as an orthotists in 2001.  His practice focuses on home care patients, receiving referrals from home health and therapy companies in addition to standard sources of referrals.
 

James McGuire DPM


Dr. James McGuire DPM, PT, CPed, FAPWHc is the director of the Leonard Abrams Center for Advanced Wound Healing and an Associate Professor of the Department of Podiatric Medicine and Orthopedics at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. McGuire earned his DPM degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 1981. He completed a residency in podiatric surgery in Baltimore, MD. He is a fellow and founding member of the American Professional Wound Care Association and the Academy of Physicians in Wound Healing, and serves on the board of the Council for Medical Education and Testing. Dr. McGuire is a licensed Physical Therapist, a certified Pedorthist, and is Certified in Wound Care by the Council for Medical Education and Testing (CMET). He is also board certified by both the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM).


Adam Miller MD

Dr. Adam Miller is an Orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon at Beacon Orthopedics in Cincinnati Ohio.  He completed a 1 year foot and ankle fellowship program from Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore Maryland after completion of his Orthopaedic Residency at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from Northwestern University Chicago, Feinberg School of Medicine.  Dr. Miller is a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society as well as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.  He has several specialties besides Sports Injuries He also sees and performs foot and ankle reconstructions; Lower extremity Traumas; Deformity corrections; and total ankle replacements and fusions.


Peter Morcom C Ped (C)

Peter Morcom is a Canadian Certified Pedorthist practicing in British Columbia, Canada. He is also President - Elect at The Pedorthic Association of Canada.  He graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with a Bachelor's of Kinesiology and began working with Kintec Footwear and Orthotics in 2007. Currently, he manages the pedorthic team at Kintec in addition to working clinically at a number of locations. He enjoys working with all types of patients, enabling them to keep active and healthy on their feet.  When he is not at the clinic he can be found fishing, golfing or camping in beautiful BC.


Roberta Nole MA PT C Ped
 

Roberta Nole is owner of Stride™ Custom Foot Orthotics Lab (an Accredited ABC Orthotic Facility); and, Nolaro24™, LLC - Maker of the QUADRASTEP® SYSTEM and littleSTEPS™ foot orthotics. She is a Physical Therapist and Certified Pedorthist and is inventor of a foot-typing algorithm that identifies 24 variations of the normal human foot (US Patent 7,789,840). She lectures both nationally and abroad on her patented foot classification methodology. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and the Pedorthic Footwear Association.


Ben Pearl DPM

Dr. Ben Pearl has been a practicing physician in the Arlington and McLean area since 1992.  Recently selected as one of the Washingtonian Magazine’s top sports doctors, he is a graduate of the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He is a consultant at NIH and he is on an advisory board at FDA.  Dr. Pearl was recently featured in the Washington Post Magazine depicting his passion for skiing and teaching.  Dr. Pearl is a fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine as well as board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery as well as a consultant for the National Institutes of Health. He offers foot and ankle care to patients of all ages.  Dr. Pearl has a special interest in sports medicine, which is enhanced by his own participation in running, bicycling, and ski instruction.  Dr. Pearl has authored a number of articles on podiatric health. He also blogs regularly on foot care and athletic performance at Docs for Jocks.



Donna Robertson C Ped

Donna Robertson is an education consultant to Foot Solutions Corporation as a pedorthic specialist with unique skills in the sports pedorthic area, involving injury assessment, prevention and rehabilitation, custom foot orthotics, footwear selections, and advanced Pedorthic solutions.  Donna has worked with many sports professionals and is well known throughout the USA for her work and lectures. She has been a feature speaker for many medical community associations. She received her BS degree in health, physical education and recreation from the University of North Alabama in 1974, earned her Master’s degree in health in 1978, certification as an athletic trainer in 1977 and certification in pedorthics1987.   Olympic Games 2004 Athens, Greece, Donna worked with the foot and ankle medical team as a pedorthist.
 

Michael Ryan C Ped (C) PhD

Dr. Michael Ryan has been investigating overuse sports injuries for the past 14 years.  In 2011, Dr. Ryan was awarded a Griffith University Post Doctorate Research fellowship.  Clinically, Dr. Ryan has spent 8 years practicing as a pedorthist in private practice and hospital based services and is currently the Director of Research and Development for Kinetic Footlabs.
 

Rob Sobel C Ped
 

PFA President  from 10/14 to 11/16.  With over thirty years of patient care experience, and the owner of his own pedorthic practice for the past six years, Rob has experience in every aspect of pedorthics within the scope of practice. His interests are in delivering the highest quality healthcare,  economy of motion and efficiency in the workplace.
