Do I have to be TAPA/TSITE Member to attend?

Membership in TAPA or TSITE is not required to attend.  This will be an excellent opportunity for practicing planners and engineers , as well as citizens, students, elected and appointed officials to attend numerous technical sessions, network, socialize and learn from each other about the fields of planning and engineering and their intersection in our communities.

For Planning Commissioners, training credits, required by the State of Tennessee, may be available to you. More information on credits will be available soon.

Can I register the day of the event?

As a convenience, on-site registration will be available, but it creates numerous logistical problems related to food orders, availability of conference materials, and the check-in process. For the best conference experience, we recommend registering prior to the day of the event.

What is your registration policy for authors/presenters that have a paper or panel accepted for the conference?

Presenters and panelists must register for conference. If multiple co-authors are planning to attend the conference, each co-author must register individually. Those speakers whose presentations have been accepted for this year's conference will receive notice prior to registration's opening on July 19, in time to take advantage of early registration rates. Contact Sherith Colverson for information about the call for presentations.

Can I obtain credits for attending?

More information on training and maintenance credits will be available soon.  The following types of certifications will be available.

What is the cancellation policy?

TAPA's adopted cancellation policy will govern cancellation and refunds. It states:

All cancellations must be received by email or fax. Cancellations received 4 weeks prior to the first day of the conference will receive a full refund. Cancellations received 3 weeks prior to the first day of the conference will receive a refund minus a $25.00 processing fee. Cancellations received within 2 weeks or less prior to the first day of the conference will not be refunded. If you register for the conference without paying, do not attend and do not contact TAPA as outlined above, you will be charged the full conference rate. With prior notification, you may substitute a different name for your registration, should you become unable to attend. Appeals may be made in writing to the Executive Committee for emergency situations.
