Just as students have different learning styles, preceptors have different teaching styles that are classified as either teacher-centered or student-centered approaches.

It is important to note that one teaching style is not superior to another. Teaching styles vary based on student learning styles and needs, content, context, and setting. Preceptors should tailor their teaching style to best fit the student and situation.
