Call for Abstracts
 
2019 Annual Scientific Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine
 
The AAAM’s Scientific Program Committee (SPC) invites abstracts describing original scientific work in all areas of study which support AAAM’s multidisciplinary mission: Saving lives and eliminating road traffic injuries.
 
Scientific work may be reported in the following formats:
  • Full-Length Papers (Abstracts Due 18 Dec 2018) 
  • Short Communications (Due 12 Apr 2019)
  • Posters (Abstracts Due 12 Apr 2019)
 All accepted submissions (papers, short communications, and poster abstracts) will be published in a special issue of the journal Traffic Injury Prevention (TIP). Students accepted for presentation are eligible to receive complimentary registration to the conference and a travel stipend of up to $1,300.
 
Fields of Interest:  Physicians, Engineers, Policymakers, Psychologists, Statisticians, Sociologists, and other researchers are invited to submit work studying the prevention of injury in mobility and transportation. 
 
AAAM’s multidisciplinary thinking and approach is reflected in the Five Pillars of the United Nations (UN) Decade of Action and the Haddon Matrix.  All fields of study addressing AAAM’s mission are encouraged to submit.
 
Structured abstracts will be judged by the AAAM Scientific Program Committee (SPC) based on scientific merit, novelty of research findings, contribution to AAAM’s mission, and adherence to formatting requirements. Your abstract may not exceed 550 words and must include the following subheadings: Research Question/Objective; Methods; Data Sources; Results; and Significance of Results.
