Now Accepting Workshop Proposals!

Since 2008, the Pennsylvania Early Childhood Summit has brought together over 1,000 early childhood professionals, parents, and community members from across Pennsylvania to this annual three-day event held in State College, PA. The Summit is a collaboration between the Pennsylvania Child Care Association, the Pennsylvania Head Start Association and the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development & Early Learning.
Much of the success and continued interest in the Summit is directly attributable to the educators who step up to present in our break-out sessions. It’s only through your dedication and willingness to share your knowledge that we are able to provide the variety and quality of sessions for which the Summit has come to be known.

Presenter Registration Costs:  We value your time and expertise and understand that when you present at the Summit, you are sharing more than your knowledge.  For that reason, we waive the registration fee for all LEAD presenters on the day of your workshop presentation, and offer you a reduced, single day presenter registration fee of $100/day for any day that you attend the Summit but are not presenting.  This entitles you to all food included in the registration fee that day, and gives you the ability to attend workshops and earn professional development credits yourself.  In addition, one co-presenter is eligible for a reduced co-presenter rate of $55 for any day that they are co-presenting in a workshop.
AV at the Summit:  All break-out rooms at the Summit are equipped with a screen, a flipchart with markers, and a cart/table with power.  Presenters who wish to use a powerpoint type presentation will need to provide their own LCD projector and laptop.  The large number of concurrent break-out workshops makes it cost prohibitive to supply this equipment.  Presenters who desire to rent any AV equiptment will be connected with the Conference Center staff that can make these arrangements at the presenter's expense.
Break-out Room Seating:  Most rooms at the Summit are theater style seating.  A limited number of rooms are available with classroom type seating.  If you feel that your workshop would be better delivered in classroom type seating, you will be given the opportunity to make that request when submitting your proposal, however alternate seating is not guaranteed and all presenters should be prepared to present in a theater style set-up.
