Leading in a Culturally Diverse Workplace
History has shown that stereotyping and discrimination will not automatically disappear, and that an intervention is necessary. This session will allow participants to journey through their own personal understanding of diversity issues and examine how their understanding has an overall influence on their organization. Participants will learn how to welcome and value diversity issues, how to work through similarities and differences, how to challenge long standing customs and norms, and work towards removing fear, anxiety, and frustration surrounding diversity and inclusion. The session will walk the participant from a place of discomfort to greater comfort and confidence to discuss what is undiscussable. Ultimately, participants will learn how to contribute to an environment which enables people to work and live together and to better relate to each other with respect and understanding.
