Ligia Ruiz-Barranco has been a Staff Training Instructor for San Bernardino County since 2015. Throughout these years her experience has included staff training and development from 10 to 150 students at one time. She has been a 2017 Joan Carrera Scholarship recipient and NSDTA conference attendee. Ligia works closely with the Transitional Assistance Department to ensure training methodologies and curriculum is constantly up to pace with new technology and practices. She is currently part of the curriculum design training team. She also works with the State of California Counties in developing new training practices to reduce statewide errors in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Federal program. Ligia’s dedication to public works, training, and those who provide work in the Human Services field, continues to demonstrate her passion in training and development of those who help and serve others.
