Corinthia Macklin has been in the child welfare field for over 40 years. Her career with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services for the past 30 years has included working as a case manager in Child Protective Services and Resource Development and then in 2007 moving to the Education and Training Unit as a Training and Development Specialist. Along with the training responsibilities during her tenure as a RD case manager, she has been a subject matter expert in the writing of various curriculum throughout Georgia's Training and Professional Development section. She has experience in training a wide variety of curriculum across the state of Georgia which includes Child Welfare Foundation, Foster Care, Adoption, IMPACT
Pre-service train the trainer, More than Words documentation, Substance Abuse, and Intimate Partner Violence. In addition, Ms. Macklin has recently developed and presented training to strengthen case managers critical thinking and assessment skills; and “Embrace the Happy in the Workplace”. She resides in Decatur, GA and has become an avid traveler domestically and internationally.
