Talking the Talk: Why You Need to Invest in Communications and Why It Takes Practice

The health of an organization is determined by its ability to effectively communicate. We expect our workforce needs regular instruction and training on new rules, regulations and subject matter expertise. So why do we think they come ready to communicate effectively? Good, effective communication requires instruction, practice, and modeling from leadership. In this session, we will walk through overlooked areas of basic communications training (e.g. how to run a meeting, facilitation, supervisor-subordinate interactions) and explore the role of leadership in driving communications practices in an organization.
