Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019
8:30 AM - 10:00 AM: Breakout
With less of the population retiring and greater numbers of all ages and abilities participating in the U.S. labor force today, there also come greater opportunities for employers to run into workplace issues surrounding generational differences. This workshop aims to identify opportunities for maximizing the benefits of having large to moderate generational gaps between employees, while highlighting strategies for minimizing clash points.
Utilizing interactive components which will bring those who fall more toward opposite ends of the spectrum into a more sensitized understanding of the other/s, the end goal of the workshop is to actively encourage collaboration, understanding and the willingness to accommodate between groups. Participants will leave with a more informed grasp of how to navigate generational differences, as well as some tactics for maximizing the strengths belonging to each group.
