Strategies for Online Teaching and Learning: A Short Course for Best Practices in Online Teaching
A gap in professional development to meet the requirement of online teaching experience was recently identified on our campus. This presentation will discuss how the Strategies for Teaching Online, a fully online course aligned to the QM Rubric, was developed to address the gap.
Discuss the challenges and benefits of online course offerings focused on teaching online.
Explain the course development process that is in alignment with Quality Matters expectations.

Sandra R. Johnson, Ph.D., has 25+ years as a professional educator. Her background spans the K-20+ spectrum with 18 years in the classroom (preschool, high school, and higher education) and 11years in providing professional development focused on quality in online education. Dr. Johnson is a Quality Matters coordinator, facilitator, and Master Reviewer for online courses.
