Hillary Groover, BS, University of Alabama, Program Manager
Hillary Groover is the Program Manager of the University of Alabama Collegiate Recovery Community. Originally from Alpharetta, Georgia, she is a graduate of Kennesaw State University where she received her B.S. in Psychology. During her time as a Kennesaw State Collegiate Recovery Community member, she served as a Peer Educator helping educate students about substance use disorders, recovery, and other alcohol and drug related issues. She was also a recipient of the Center for Young Adult Addiction and Recovery Distinguished Alumni Award following a successful thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in which she raised over $5,000 for her alma mater. She believes Collegiate Recovery is essential not only to recovering students’ educational success, but also serves as a fundamental piece of a students’ experience of the recovery process.
