Dr. Kristine De Jesus, Montclair St. Univerisity, Staff Psychologist/Coordinator of Alcohol and Other Drug Programs
Kristine holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Rutgers University, where she studied Psychology and Puerto Rican Studies. She completed a Masters of Arts degree in Organizational Behavior from Alliant International University and received a Doctorate of Psychology degree from the California School of Professional Psychology, where she specialized in Health & Cross Cultural Psychology.
Dr. De Jesus is an author, entrepreneur, recovery and social justice advocate. She has been featured in the Huffington Post, presented for SAMHSA’s Bringing Recovery Supports to Scale Technical Assistance Center Strategies (BRSS TACS), testified on issues related to social justice to the NJ Legislature and been recognized by the NAACP. She is currently writing an anthology on recovery and social justice.
Dr Kristine De Jesus is the Founder of The Wellness Cooperative, a recovery coaching practice dedicated to helping people develop the skills necessary to live a healthy lifestyle in recovery. Dr. De Jesus works at Montclair State University as the Coordinator of the Alcohol and Other Drugs program where she supports the Red Hawk Recovery Program. She previously served as the Educational Coordinator of the Campus Alcohol Substance Awareness (CASA) program within Tuttleman Counseling Services at Temple University. She currently serves as a Co-Chair of the Montclair State University Advisory Committee on Alcohol and Other Drugs, and the New Jersey Higher Education Consortium on Alcohol and Drugs. Dr. De Jesus is on the board of the National Youth Recovery and is an active member of various other recovery and prevention organizations.
