Dr. Tiffany B Brown, PhD, LMFT, University of Oregon, Senior Lecturer; Clinical Director
Dr. Tiffany Brown is a Senior Lecturer and Clinical Director in the Couples and Family Therapy graduate program at the University of Oregon. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) as well as a clinical fellow and Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the State of Oregon (OBLPCT). Brown’s primary role is training graduate students to consider clients from a systemic, contextual, anti-oppression framework. Her scholarship focuses broadly on collegiate recovery outcomes, substance use treatment and prevention, and non-suicidal self-harm. She received specialized training at the Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery at Texas Tech University. Brown has served as a trauma specialist and family therapist at a residential treatment center for substance use. Brown’s clinical experience includes self-harm education, prevention, and intervention; the family dynamics of substance use and recovery; grief and loss; pediatric cancer; and collegiate recovery. She regularly consults with school districts and community programs about best practices for screening and intervening with individuals struggling with self-harming behaviors. Historically, she has served on the Association of Recovery in Higher Education (ARHE) executive board.
