2019 ARHE/ARS/AAPG Conference Schedule
Bryn Gallagher, JD, Recovery Oriented Campus Center, University of Southern Maine, ROCC Alumni
Bryn, a former ARHE intern and alumni of the ROCC, has been in long-term recovery since February 8th, 2013. Being in recovery has allowed her to transform from an undergraduate student with a 1.7 GPA to a recent graduate of the University of Maine School of Law. During her years as a college and graduate student, Bryn was a proud member of the University of Southern Maine's collegiate recovery program, the Recovery Oriented Campus Center (The ROCC). The ROCC empowered Bryn to be a vocal and proud student in recovery and provided her with a community of supportive, inspiring peers. She has interned and volunteered with offices and organizations including the Association of Recovery in Higher Education; Maine's Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services; and Young People in Recovery (YPR). The past six years of recovery-related work have given Bryn the tools to replenish relationships with family and friends and to harness her passion for serving her community on many levels including through legal and political advocacy. Bryn was born and raised in Maine and now lives in Bedford, Massachusetts with her boyfriend Andrew and their dog Moose.
