Mr. Jaime Garza, MS, NCAC-II, The University of Alabama, Coordinator, Recovery Services
Jaime Mauricio Garza, completed his formal education with a certificate in drug and alcohol studies through Saddleback College in Mission Viejo California and went on to pursue his Undergraduate degree in Psychology and then his Master’s Degree in Business Management through Argosy University. He is certified and Licensed as a Drug and Alcohol counselor in both the state of Alabama and Tennessee. He is a Doctoral Candidate in Higher Education Administration at the University of Alabama.
Mr. Garza has worked in the treatment of Drug and Alcohol abuse since 2005. He has been heavily involved in the creation and development of several nationally recognized programs specializing in the need to help young adults stabilize their problems with drugs and alcohol and aid in the process of development and maturation. He has worked hard in creating an environment on campus for young adults to thrive and be successful in obtaining their academic goals despite setbacks with their personal struggles with substances.
Specializing in experiential therapy, Mr. Garza is able to connect with young adults with real life situation through the use of techniques and fun activities. These strategies help the younger population stay focused and interested in learning more about themselves and how to be a successful contributor to society. Mr. Garza is a successful young adult who struggled with addiction and has triumphed over his personal challenges and has dedicated his life to helping those who are demonstrating similar patterns as his own.
