Barbara Frey, Senior Instructional Designer, University of Pittsburgh
Barbara A. Frey, DEd, is a Senior Instructional Designer with Pitt Online where she provides support to faculty on a variety of teaching and learning topics. Barbara collaborates with faculty, instructional technologists, graphic designers, and videographers to develop online and massive open online courses (MOOCs). She also teaches as an adjunct instructor with Colorado State University’s Global Campus, and is a Facilitator and Master Reviewer for the non-profit organization Quality Matters™.

Rae Mancilla, Senior Instructional Designer, University of Pittsburgh
Rae L. Mancilla,Ed.D., is a Senior Instructional Designer in the Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Pittsburgh. She collaborates on online course development and has published in numerous professional journals including Applied Linguistics, CALICO, Language Learning and Technology, and the American Journal of Distance Education. Her research focuses on technology-enhanced language learning, assessment, MOOCs, and the professional development of Instructional Designers.
