Understanding Your Donors: The Quant and Qual of it All

This session will look at ways to know who your donors are, and use this information to develop messages to engage them across multiple channels. We'll look at how you can use both surveys, your data, and other research to get at quantitative measures of your audiences. We'll break out into groups and develop donor personas, a valuable tool for understanding the thoughts, feelings, and motivations of your supporters as people. We'll then discuss the best ways to reach these people with messages that will resonate with them and encourage them to act and even donate!

By attending this session participants will learn: Understanding of best practices in donor research from both a quantitative/data-driven perspective, and qualitative approach with surveys and persona exercises.

By attending this session participants will learn: How to construct a donor persona, and mesh that work with data sources to get a complete understanding of your fundraising audience as a group and as individuals.

By attending this session participants will learn: How to craft messaging and optimize channel tactics to reach these target donors using this information.
