Raise More Money by Automating Right Message, Right Person, Right Time

This session will show you how to use donor data, new technology and automation to raise more money by delivering the right message to the right donor at the right time.
We will briefly describe what automation is and how it works and well as how AI through machine learning can help organizations of all sizes better predict when and how supporters will be more likely to give.
Attendees will learn how to use these tactics to improve segmentation for more targeted message delivery. We will show how a supporter action (or inaction) can become the trigger to generate the next appeal or renewal solicitation. This results in a more donor driven fundraising program. And by using data and technology to better time and target messages organizations are able to raise more revenue and deepen relationships with supporters.
We will show how an organization of any size and budget can begin to phase in this approach.
We will have two case studies that are using this approach in their fundraising programs. In the first, the Equality Federation will talk about how they are using automation to enhance their membership efforts. They see their revenue growing and retention increasing.
Voto Latino will provide the second case study. They are using automation in their acquisition and retention efforts.

By attending this session participants will learn: The nuts and bolts: what is automation, what is AI, what is machine learning, what is a nurture campaign, what is an automation trigger in the context of nonprofit fundraising and what data should I collect and maintain to be able to use these techniques.

By attending this session participants will learn: How to efficiently and effectively automate single channel and multi-channel fundraising programs. Attendees will gain a high level overview of how to structure an automated program. What data to collect and what triggers tend to be effective. Participants will understand why to start using these techniques regardless of their size and budget, the mechanics of setting up a campaign, and what metrics to collect to determine success of each effort

By attending this session participants will learn: How two very different organizations use these techniques to raise more money through the sharing of two detailed case studies. We will cover how each organization started, what it required in terms of staff and budget, what they tested, what did not work and what their greatest successes have been.
