Supporter Surveys: Asking the right questions to get into your donors' minds, hearts, and future plans.
Friday, July 12th, 2019
8:15 AM - 9:20 AM: Breakout 5
A well-designed supporter survey can help your organization:
- Get a broad picture of your donor base to help you hone your mass marketing
- Gain powerful information about individual donors to hyper-personalize communications and fundraising strategies
- Identify new prospects for Legacy and Major Gifts

The BC Cancer Foundation has sent annual supporter surveys for over a decade. In 2015 a major overhaul of the survey saw a sharp increase to the number of new Legacy Giving prospects identified. Since then, we have tested new questions and formats to further hone this tool, and in 2018 had the strongest overall response to the survey and identified the highest number of Legacy prospects in our history.
In this session you will learn how to design a survey that:
- Your supporters actually WANT to respond to
- Gives you the information you really need, and
- Leaves your donors feeling more deeply engaged with and committed to your organization
