Flip or Flop! What you can learn from Sustainer Successes and (almost) Failures This is an interactive session
Thursday, July 11th, 2019
2:15 PM - 3:30 PM: Breakout 3
Monthly Giving. Recurring Donors. Sustainers. They're all the craze! Why? Because they're improving your donor retention rates by a lot! But growing your sustainers isn't always easy. It could go with starts and stops. Things go right and sometimes things go wrong.
At conferences like this, most organizations like to share only successes. But it's just as important to learn from mistakes others have already made.
During this session, you'll hear examples of things that went right and some things that went wrong (or not quite as right as hoped), when it came to growing, upgrading and reactivating sustainers.
In this brutally honest session, you'll hear from Suzanne Murray of the Unitarian Universalist Association and Erica Waasdorp of A Direct Solution who will present case studies from different organizations who have:
a. Converted their sustainers to another system or to another payment method
b. Upgraded their monthly donors to higher levels
c. Tested new ways to grow their sustainers that worked and tested things that didn't work (so well).

You'll be able learn from their experiences and how they've come out ahead and grown their sustainer programs to higher levels because of it.
