Using Sexual Storytelling to Move Away from A Risk Management Approach to Sexual Education
Description: Sexual storytelling has been extensively studied in relation to 'coming out stories' and stories told by survivors of sexual violence. The analysis of how university students narrate their sexual experiences can offer insight into sexual or interpersonal needs that are not being met by existing resources and programs. This projects seeks to analyze how sexual storytelling can be used as an approach to create holistic sexual education programs.
Objective(s): At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to: discuss the educational potential of sexual storytelling.
