The Effects of Population-Specific Sexual Health Education on the Self-Efficacy and Self-Image of Youth with ASD and ID
Description: This presentation will investigate the impact of a tailored sexual health curriculum on self-reported self-efficacy and self-image for teens with ASD and mild ID. We hypothesize that the results will demonstrate how specialized education can help youth feel more comfortable talking to parents, partners, and doctors about relationships and sexual health.
Objective(s): At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to: explain how specialized sexual health education for neurodiverse populations affects the self-efficacy and self-image of those receiving the curriculum.
