Dr. Scott Smith has over twenty years experience in the area of educational technology. As a teacher, instructional technology facilitator, system's engineer, director, Chief Technology Officer and now Assist Superintendent, Scott understands all aspects of curriculum, instruction, technology, and media. Formerly president of NCTIES (NC's ISTE Affiliate), Scott led efforts for NC's technology educators. He is a founding member of the NC CoSN (Consortium of School Networking) and a CETL (Certified Educational Technology Leader) also from CoSN. Scott is currently the Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Instruction and Technology, one of the first public school systems in the nation to issue iPads and MacBook Airs to every child grades Kindergarten -12th grade.
