Having worked with educational technologies, media and security in higher education and K-12 for more than 20-years, Dr. McKaveney has been continuously focused on the advancement of student learning, staff development and operational success through technology. In addition to being Technology Director at the award-winning Hampton Township School District, he serves as chair of the PAECT Chief Technology Leader Council (The PA CoSN state chapter), working to advance technology leadership and school safety across the state. His recognitions include 2013 national CoSN Withrow CTO of the Year, 2013 PAECT Outstanding Leader of the Year (Pennsylvania's ISTE award), 2012 Pittsburgh FBI/Infragard Champion of Change awardee, and 2015/2017 Finalist for the Pittsburgh Technology Council Education sector CIO of the Year. A PA Certified Instructional Technology Specialist and CoSN Certified Educational Technology Leader (CETL), he has a B.S. in biology, M.S. in multimedia technology and a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management.
