Mike Reynolds is co-founder and President of Cedar Labs, LLC, where he takes an active role in shaping both the technical architecture and product direction of the organization. Cedar Labs provides an industry leading SaaS PK-12 data exchange which seamlessly bridges the various ways apps in a modern ed-tech ecosystem share information (various open standards, proprietary APIs, CSV imports, etc )
Prior to Cedar Labs, Mike spent 16 years building his foundation of entrepreneurial, technical, and domain knowledge needed to successfully launch a "market-disrupting" ed-tech initiative. In 2012, Mike was asked by the International SIF Association to lead the Global Infrastructure Team in their mission to modernize the specification. After over a year of intense collaboration with a team spanning 3 continents and 16 time zones, v3.0 of the SIF Specification was released - the most ambitious and forward looking SIF release since its inception over two decades ago. Along with this ongoing leadership position, Mike also sits on SIF's International Technology Board, North America Tech Board, and serves in a leadership role in the Student Record Exchange and Student Data Privacy Consortium task forces.
Mike earned a dual concentration in Information Systems and Operations Management from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. Aside from hammering away on his computer, Mike enjoys fly fishing in the mountains of Idaho and spending time with his active family.
