Angie Gaylord was appointed Dallas ISD's Deputy Chief of Transformation and Innovation in 2018 after serving as the acting deputy chief of that office for several months. During this time, she led the development of three new transformation schools.
She began her Dallas ISD career as the executive director of Professional and Digital Learning. Beyond Dallas ISD, she has extensive educational experience, which includes serving as division director of instructional technology for Irving ISD and as a middle school principal. She is recognized for opening the first Net Zero paperless middle school in the country.
As deputy chief, Gaylord will continue to grow the district's transformation, innovation and magnet programs as well as provide leadership to Dallas ISD's overall public school choice process.
Gaylord holds a degree in kinesiology and biology from the University of North Texas and a master's in educational administration from California State University in Los Angeles.
