Brief Session Description: The role of chief technology officers (CTOs) is changing. No longer are CTOs leading operations departments. To lead digital district transformations, they must build effective teams and strategic partnerships to realize a vision and ensure a coherent adoption and successful implementation of technology aligned to the district's strategic priorities.

This session will help district and technology leaders, both current and emerging, gain and share knowledge of strategies, best practices, and lessons learned with respect to building effective teams, leading change management efforts, establishing technology governance, and fostering strategic partnerships to transform school districts into digital districts to ensure that each and every students is future ready.

The session will provide a framework for leading transformation that consists of three strategic focus areas:

1. Build a foundation for sustainability
2. Target high leverage areas of need
3. Bring coherence across technology efforts to align a technology roadmap to the district vision.
