4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Breakout
Room: Broadway III (Hilton Portland Downtown)
Format: Concurrent Session - 60 Minutes
Brief Session Description: What are you doing to prepare your district for the graduating class of 2030? Join the Executive Officer of IT and IM Services (Toronto District School Board) and a Superintendent of Education (York Region District School Board), as they share how their school boards build system capacity for modern learning. Participants will learn how each school district has developed structures and supported professional learning at various levels of the organization to shift paradigms in learning such that teaching becomes a shared enterprise. Learn about Inclusive Design for Education, a particular approach to personalized/student centred learning that both boards have been implementing as an approach to inclusive schooling and the development of globally competent learners.
