Brief Session Description: Like many other districts, we have adopted a personalized learning approach to instruction. This change incorporates the following tenets of personalized learning Clear understanding of what the students should know, Incorporating age-appropriate student voice in the learning, and mastery learning.
This presentation will focus on how our districts are working together to ensure we have policies, practices, and programs in place in the area of data practices, Leadership, Data privacy, Systems, and instructional tools that foster personalized learning practices.
Working in collaboration, we reviewed our current practices compared to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, identified priorities, and put in place data practices and policies that can be shared across the districts as we continue to embark upon personalized learning. The ultimate goal for our districts is to achieve the COSN Trusted Seal.
We will discuss lessons learned from this collaborative approach and what still needs to be done on this journey.
