Brief Session Description: Systems and practices that have successfully supported schools and students over the last ten years will simply not scale over the next. Particularly in times of high growth. Catholic Education, Wollongong, lies within the major growth centre of South Western Sydney and is expecting to grow more than 25% in the next 7 years. This presentation maps our journey as a Diocese undertaking a digital transformation.
Beginning with infrastructure changes (WAN, cloud strategy, governance ) and the development of IT leadership to the subsequent evolution of the IT team to a dynamic service oriented organisation who actively lead cultural change in Finance, HR, and Learning Technologies to help Catholic Education "move to the next screen". We examine successful and failed strategies and present our "recipe for successful digital transformation" with practical hints as to how these can be applied to other school districts.
